When I was still a kid, I did not want to eat mushroom. I just did not want the taste. I was so picky then but my disliking of this edible fungus had changed when a typhoon struck the country. That time, there was a flash flood that the water was neck-deep, there was no electricity power and water supply had stop. Since everything happened in a flash, most of the stuff in our house was wet even food and stove. We did not had a choice but to eat canned mushroom. That experience made me appreciate the taste of mushrooms. I began to love pasta and pizza with mushroom toppings.

Anyway, if you happened to hate mushroom, this could change your mind. I don't know but maybe, there might be a little chance especially if you are a fellow Filipino. Most Filipinos love to hear good news about "kabayan" or fellow Pinoys especially if that news or story comes from a respectable website, TV channel or radio station in the "First World Countries" like USA. Since the hottest mushroom farmer in the world is a Pinoy, most Pinoys would consider this as a Pinoy Pride.
