Mom Makes Me Smile

This is one of my old posts on Tumblr (when I was still addict with Farmville).

Don't ask me why my heart is filled with happiness. Tell me, my friend that I'm in love, I say yes, but that is not the main reason why this feeling is overwhelming me today.

Soon enough, a special woman will come to visit me. She's not a famous artist or politician but she's the greatest woman in my life.

It's a surprise visit anyway but because of excitement, she couldn't help herself but to say it in advance. Two days more and will finally see her after 5 months of being apart.

My friend, she's my mother. I love her so much and I miss her a lot. As I grow old, I've learned how to cope up with nostalgia and separation anxiety. But the memories revive and still linger on. I miss those times when my mother take care of me, feeding, bathing and dressing me the best. I miss those days when we had some "girls'talk" or watch movies she have already seen. Those times when she cooked my favorite dish "igado", an Ilocano specialty were so priceless. The best thing about her aside from loving and caring wife and mother is having the magic hands to make both ends meet.
