NetGuides Cybercafe supports Earth Hour 2010

Nine days more to go and people from all over the world will be switching off their lights for Earth Hour. I am so excited. Even in our internet cafe, we posted Earth Hour posters in every corner and made the logo as a wallpaper in every computer. I have already planned the simple ways I can contribute – Switch off the lights for an hour, to lighten up the house, I will make a lantern or buy candles, turn off the aircon and electric fans, open the windows and doors to let the fresh air in.

As I write this, there are more 8 days, 4 hours, 47 minutes and 07 seconds left before reaching the most awaited event that will take place on Saturday, 27 March at 8.30pm (local time).

If ever you’re not aware, Earth Hour is a global call and awareness of climate change issues. It is more than switching off lights in one hour. It is a way of working together to create a sustainable low carbon future for our beloved planet. It is the least that we can do for our planet but it will create a big impact in our future. So, what are we waiting for? Let’s be responsible, stand up, get involved and join together in celebrating Earth Hour. Let’s take action against global warming. One hour of switching lights off equals a better future. Let’s make 2010 the biggest Earth Hour yet!
